Join the City of San Antonio in celebrating “Pueblos del Maiz,” a month-long celebration of highlighting maiz, or corn, as a traditional ingredient found in many of our local foods and beverages. 

Throughout May, we will have opportunities to explore, learn, and taste maiz in our local foods and beverages that reflect San Antonio’s diverse culture. San Antonio plans to highlight maiz by:

• sharing and preserving community recipes,

• engaging with our local chefs to highlight maiz on their menus and;

• sharing knowledge and exploring the ancient Mesoamerican tradition of making masa.
